Mr. Greg Ibach was confirmed by the Senate and sworn in by Secretary Perdue as USDA’s Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) on October 30, 2017. In his role as the Under Secretary, his main mission is facilitating the domestic and international marketing of U.S. agricultural products and ensuring the health and care of animals and plants. The MRP Mission Area is comprised of the Agricultural Marketing Service Agency and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Agency. Before becoming Under Secretary, Mr. Ibach served as Nebraska’s Director of Agriculture since June 2005. Mr. Ibach has been inducted into the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement and is also a former President of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture.
