William (“Bill”) Blot leads the Finance Office A-123 Team within the Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA). In this role he is responsible for coordinating organizational efforts to document, assess and improve internal control. He joined FSA in 2003 to help establish Finance’s internal control function and, generally, support the development and operation of financial systems, IT security, and financial management and reporting. He has over 16 years of experience in, as a consultant to, and auditor of Federal government agencies. Bill earned his B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech. Bill is a Certified Information System Auditor.
