Cindy Sylvia is the Managing Member of Cynthia Sylvia, LLC, a nurse executive consultant service. Her specialization is in wound healing, professional relations; support surface performance and standardization, pressure injury prevention and patient and caregiver safety. Her expertise lies in clinical education, writing and editing of manuscripts, oversight of human subject clinical studies and expert opinion on quality and risk management. Cindy has a broad range of clinical experience and experience in the medical device industry including many years of service on the Corporate Advisory Council of the NPUAP and she is a founding member of the Support Surface Standards Initiative. She is a Certified Wound Care Nurse, a published author and qualitative researcher. Her educational background includes an MSc in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair at Cardiff University in Wales where she recently was awarded her Doctorate in Nursing.
