John Halinski

John Halinski recently retired as the Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer for the Transportation Security Administration. During his tenure at TSA, he worked extensively in crisis incident management within the U.S. and around the world, leading the international response for TSA to the underwear bombing attempts, multiple hijacking attempts, and terrorist threat streams. He served as the US advisor to the International Civil Aviation Organization for aviation security and assisted in critical negotiations for Open Skies agreements. Prior to TSA, John served in the Marines for 25 years, serving in various roles within the intelligence, special operations, and counterterrorism fields including tours in Lebanon, Somalia, Desert Storm, and Kosovo.
