Steven Chesley graduated in 1977 from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology and graduated in 1986 from George Washington University with a Master of Business Administration. Steve was hired by the Kansas City Chapter of NECA as an Assistant Manager from 1987 to 1991 and subsequently hired by the Dallas Chapter as an Executive Manager from 1991 to 1992 before being hired by the Quad Cities Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association in Davenport, IA from 1992 to 2012. Additionally, Steve served on the Government Affairs Committee of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce from 1995 to 2011 and was active on several other Chamber of Commerce committees. Steve served on the Government Affairs Committee of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce from 1995 to 2011 and was active on several other Chamber of Commerce committees. Steve has been serving as the Eastern Region Field Representative since 2012. His duties include instructing contractor members and NECA Chapters on matters relating to grievance handling, collective bargaining, membership recruitment, worker classifications and member services. He also works closely with IBEW Representatives on matters that can help expand market share and in helping to resolve labor relations issues at the local Chapter level.
