Tom will be Chairing the LMOA New Technologies Committee session and discussing "Latest Tier 4 Technology Advancements." Mack is a locomotive design pioneer whose career spans years of locomotive innovations including the use of multiple medium horsepower ethanol generator sets, use of solid steel lead-acid battery trays mounted directly to the locomotive frame, the incorporation of a high power density / short-duration energy storage systems to complement the lead-acid battery set, and the development of Predictive Power Management Control software to coordinate the various locomotive power systems. Before he joined VeRail, he was Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Motive Power & Equipment Solutions, Inc., and previously was CEO of AHL-TECH.
