Nicole Brewin is the vice president of government affairs for the Railway Supply Institute. Nicole monitors legislative and regulatory matters pertaining to the rail supply industry with particular emphasis on hazardous materials by rail, high speed, intercity passenger and commuter rail, the Section 130 Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Safety Program, truck sizes and weights, manufacturing, tax and rail infrastructure investment. Nicole manages three of the association's high profile committees; RSI’s Committee on Government & Public Affairs, Equipment Leasing Committee and Committee on Tank Cars and functions as the industry regulatory representative on the Federal Railroad Administration’s Rail Safety Advisory Committee. Nicole represents RSI on several industry coalitions including OneRail and the Interested Parties for Hazardous Materials. Nicole also oversees RSI’s grassroots program and political action committee. Nicole represents RSI as a board member of Operation Lifesaver; the past Co-Chair of the Transportation Task Force in Women in Government Relations and as past Legislative Chair of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. Nicole is also a member of the Public Affairs Council and the American Society of Association Executives where she received her certificate in Association Management.
