Kyle Adams




Adams is Associate Professor of Music Theory and Chair of the Department of Music Theory at Indiana University. His research focuses on the analysis of Renaissance and hip-hop music. He has published on 16th-century music in Theoria and the Journal of Music Theory and on rap music in Music Theory Online, Music Theory Spectrum, and in The Cambridge Companion to Hip-Hop. He has presented papers at the annual meetings of the Society for Music Theory and the American Criminological Society and has given invited talks at universities in the United States and abroad.
