Brenda Staffan, BA, is project director for the Reno (Nevada) Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) community paramedicine pilot program funded by the Innovation Center of CMS. In her 25-year career, she’s held positions in finance, business development and public affairs for three national ambulance corporations and REMSA, one of the nation's largest high performance EMS systems. She is a co-author of the American Ambulance Association’s “Community Guide to Ensure High Performance Emergency Ambulance Servic”e and the project manager/editor of the AAA publication “Contracting for Emergency Ambulance Services: A Guide to Effective System Design.”
