Barb Granter began her theme park career working as an Entertainment Manager for Canada’s Wonderland and in her 15 years with Canada’s Wonderland she managed a variety of venues including indoor & outdoor musical stage productions, marine mammal facilities, stunt shows, children’s character shows & atmospheric entertainers. She also managed various special events including laser & fireworks shows, ethnic festivals and their 10,000 seat amphitheater, the Kingswood Music Theater. She continued on with the Paramount Parks, except she relocated to a warmer climate taking on Star Trek: The Experience at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. In her 3 years there, she served as the Director of Operations & Maintenance and ended as their Vice President & General Manager. She also oversaw the implementation of the CBS Television City research facility at the MGM Grand under the umbrella of Viacom, the parent company of Paramount Parks. In 2003, Barb transitioned again to Gilroy Gardens, formerly Bonfante Gardens, as their Vice President & General Manager. Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, features beautiful gardens, waterfalls, over 10,000 trees, topiaries and rides and attractions geared to children 8 and under.
