David Topczynski




Dave is a senior firefighter/medic with the Newport News (VA) Fire Department. Dave began his career in 2004 on Long Island (NY) and has served in both career and volunteer departments in New York and Virginia. He is an adjunct instructor in Virginia and serves as a part time instructor with the Hampton (VA) Fire Department. Dave has presented at Firehouse Expo in Baltimore and Nashville; FDIC 2015; South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo; the Virginia Fire and Rescue Conference; and many smaller seminars across the east coast. He has published several articles for Fire Engineering Magazine and Firehouse Magazine and holds a degree in fire science.
