Pat Songer, EMT-P, ASM, is an Administrative Director and Chief of EMS at Humboldt General Hospital (HGH), a rural critical access hospital in Winnemucca, Nev. Despite being located in some of the most rural and frontier areas, HGH EMS Rescue is an all-hazards, integrated healthcare organization that provides ground, air and rescue services. Songer has been awarded both the EMS10: Innovators in EMS award and was the Chair of NEMSMA’s Practitioner Mental Health and Wellbeing Committee that received the 2016 James O. Page/ JEMS Leadership award.
