Kliss McNeel Senior Vice President, Environmental Stewardship, Safety and Health Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC Kliss McNeel serves as senior vice president of Environmental Stewardship, Safety and Health (ES&SH) for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), the management and operations contractor for the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Savannah River Site (SRS). In this role, she has Site-wide responsibility for occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, worker safety and health, medical services, environmental compliance, environmental remediation projects, environmental sampling and analysis, and radiological protection. She also ensures ES&SH programs are compliant with DOE contract requirements. McNeel has 36 years of national and international experience in environment, safety and health, quality assurance, organizational change, waste and project management at high hazard nuclear facilities. Most recently, McNeel served at the Hanford site as the manager of Environment, Safety and Health for Washington River Protection Solutions. She was also director of the Environmental, Safety, Health & Quality and Closure Manager for Washington Closure Hanford, where she provided executive leadership for all worker safety, quality and regulatory strategy programs for the River Corridor Project and directed the engineering, performance assurance, security and emergency preparedness programs. Previously, McNeel was executive director of Environment, Safety, Health and Quality Assurance at the Sellafield site, United Kingdom, focusing on corrective action implementation, enhancement of the nuclear safety program including independent assurance, programs focused on reducing environmental leaks and spills, and safety improvement programs. She has also worked on the Idaho Cleanup Project in various project management, regulatory and safety leadership roles. McNeel is a certified Project Manager Professional.
