Serge Dedina




Serge Dedina is the Executive Director and co-founder of WILDCOAST an international conservation team that conserves coastal and marine ecosystems and wildlife. The author of Saving the Gray Whale, Wild Sea and Surfing the Border, Serge was named a 2016 Peter Benchley “Hero of the Sea” and was the recipient of the California Coastal Commission’s “Coastal Hero” award. In recognition of his conservation achievements, the San Diego Zoological Society he awarded him a Conservation Medal and he was named a John Muir Fellow at UCSD. In 2014 Serge was elected the Mayor of Imperial Beach, California, his hometown.
