Lael Echo-Hawk, a member of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma, is a tribal attorney with over 10 years of experience representing Indian Country. In addition to her work as General Counsel to the National Indian Cannabis Coalition, she has served as in-house counsel to the Tulalip Tribes of Washington, Counselor to the Chair of the National Indian Gaming Association and the legislative director for the Native American Contractors Association. She has extensive experience working directly with tribal leadership and regularly advises tribal service programs and business entities. Lael is active in community service, with an emphasis on civil rights, diversity training and enhancing achievement opportunities for persons of color. She has been recognized as a “Rising Star: Young Women Who Make a Difference” in their profession and as NCAIED 2013 “40 Under 40”.
