Susan Bershad is a Senior Engineer in the Industrial and Chemical Engineering division at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). She is staff liaison for the Flammable and Combustible Liquids project. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Massachusetts. Prior to joining NFPA, she held positions in environmental, health, and safety management in the chemical processing industry, with a focus on environmental compliance and process safety management, at companies such as Waters Corporation, Ionics, Genzyme, and Hampshire Chemical.
