Tim has more than 16 years of experience in accounting, primarily in forensic analysis and auditing. His post-graduate education provided him an additional level of experience in statistical analysis and accounting research. His combined auditing, academic, and forensic accounting background yielded experience in a variety of industries and areas of professional responsibility. Tim has experience in providing litigation support in both criminal and civil proceedings. He has assisted in the analysis of related financial information, the development of expert testimony and materials, and has provided testimony in deposition, arbitration and trial. His testimony topics have included: fraud patterns, sufficiency of accounting evidence, analysis of internal control, accountants’ standard of care, economic damages (including personal injury, wrongful death, and wage losses), business interruption claims, and lost profits analyses. Tim also has experience providing consultation services in disputes and internal examinations. Such consulting engagements include – royalty examinations, fraud examinations, business income loss analysis, inventory loss analysis, fidelity loss analysis, and internal controls analysis. Tim is an active participant and member in the following organizations: American Institute of CPAs; Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; Arizona Society of CPAs; American Accounting Association; Institute for Internal Controls; and the National Association of Forensic Economics. Tim holds a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University. A licensed CPA, he is Certified in Financial Forensics and also holds the Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Internal Controls Auditor designations.
