Dick Wernsing, recently retired, was the Director of Strategic Reliability and Delivery Planning at PSE&G. His responsibilities included the definition of asset information strategies for the utility, asset risk management, future systems evolution, successful deployment and Delivery Planning. The extensive knowledge and technical expertise Mr. Wernsing acquired while PSE&G in the Distribution, Transmission and Production of electricity, computer, telecommunications support, and System Planning. He has developed a Computerized Maintenance Management System in 2000 that provides Condition and Critically Assessment on all major equipment transformer, breaker and relays. Most recently he has been working closely on an Asset Risk Model for equipment in poor condition, and developing a replacement and upgrade strategy for the entire distribution network. Wernsing began his career at PSE&G as a Substation Mechanic, Relay Technician and has held many management positions in the Operation, Planning and Maintenance Areas supporting both the energy delivery, power generation transmission and computer systems.
