Mark grew up in Dekalb County, Illinois, the son of a retired farmer with many extended family members working in agriculture. He joined Monsanto in 1983 as a District Sales Manager for DEKALB Pfizer Genetics and continued on with additional roles with Monsanto that include the Corn, Seeds, Traits and Licensing. In 2011 he advanced to become North American Sales Lead for Seminis and DeRuiter seed, based in Oxnard CA. Then, in 2016, Mark made a move back to the Midwest, to his current role as the President and CEO of AgReliant Genetics. Mark is a Past Chairman of ASTA and has served on numerous ASTA committees and as an ASTA Director at Large.
