Jason Jenkins
Fire Chief



Jason has 20 years of experience in the fire and EMS service. He currently serves as a deputy fire chief in the Fairfax County (VA) Fire and Rescue Department. Jason serves as a planning manager for the FEMA USAR Virginia Task Force 1; and serves on several local, regional, and state advisory committees, most notably Governor Terry McAuliffe’s EMS Advisory Board. He has received professional designations/credentials as MIFireE from the Institution of Fire Engineers, and chief fire officer from the Center for Public Safety Excellence. Jason has held secondary employment as a certified flight paramedic for the INOVA Health System and PHI Air Medical Inc. since 2001. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fire service administration from the University of Maryland, and a master’s in organizational leadership from the Johns Hopkins University.
