Brian Gifford researches workforce health and productivity for the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI), a 501(c)(6) non-profit association. As Director of Research, he has been a lead or contributing author on topics such health care and disability leave costs, disability projections for an aging workforce, the productivity implications of high-deductible health plans, and CFOs’ strategic approaches to health benefits and wellness programs. Gifford has examined the productivity impact of a variety of health risks and chronic conditions, including migraine, unhealthy body weight, depression, acute coronary syndrome, venous thromboembolism, cancer, and metabolic syndrome.
