Karl Bossung is a Principal Consultant with DEKRA Insight and an expert in health and safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and culture change initiatives. For over 40 years, Karl has worked with multi-national companies, analyzing organizational culture and safety climate; performing assessments of safety-enabling and organizational-sustaining systems; implementing employee-driven behavior-based safety processes; and building safety leadership capabilities. Karl also provides coaching at all levels, from CEO's, senior executives and middle managers to front-line supervisors and foremen. He helps them to understand the impact of their leadership style and practices, and to develop and execute action plans designed to enhance their safety leadership capabilities. Additionally, Karl has worked with more than 50 unions and work councils worldwide to help clients achieve world-class safety performance, and with the U.S. Military to help each branch improve its health and safety systems. He is a highly regarded speaker and has authored and published numerous articles. Karl is a two-term past vice chairman of the NSC's Board of Delegates and is a member of the ASSE.
