Mrs. Edmonds has been serving as the State of Michigan's Chief COVID-19 Accountability Officer since June 2020. She has extensive governmental audit experience both as an auditor and an auditee as well as both internal and external fraud investigation experience. Her career includes 7 years at a public accounting firm specializing in Single Audits followed by over 11 years working for the State of Michigan; first in multiple departments as an auditing specialist, audit liaison, and fraud investigator then as manager of the Auditing, Compliance, and Fraud Investigation unit at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) before accepting her current role overseeing COVID-19 related federal funding. She holds a BBA in Accounting Information Systems from Central Michigan University.
