Kurt Eichenwald is the New York Times bestselling author of six non-fiction books. In addition to his distinguished work as a senior writer at Newsweek and a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, Eichenwald spent two decades as a senior writer at The New York Times, where he was a two-time finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He is also a two-time winner of the George Polk Award, as well as a winner of the Payne Award for Ethics in Journalism, the SABEW Award for business enterprise reporting, and an Emmy Award nominee. All of his books have been national bestsellers. His first, Serpent on the Rock, about what was then the largest investment scandal in history. His second book, The Informant: A True Story. The Informant was a finalist for a J. Anthony Lukas Prize and the Investigative Reporters and Editors Book Award and was deemed by the New York Times Book Review as “one of the best non-fiction books of the last decade.” The movie version of The Informant, starring Matt Damon and directed by Stephen Soderbergh. His third book, Conspiracy of Fools, is the inside story of the Enron collapse. It was published in 2005 and was an instant New York Times bestseller, debuting at #4 in its first week of sales. A television series based on Conspiracy is currently in pre-production with George Clooney’s Smokehouse Productions at Paramount Pictures. Mr. Eichenwald’s fourth book, 500 Days: Secrets and Lies in the Terror Wars, a narrative non-fiction depiction of the War on Terror, was published in 2012. It is also in preproduction as a limited television series at Warner Brothers. Mr. Eichenwald’s most recent book, The Big Lie, was released in April 2021 and examines the origins and danger of the modern anti-vaccination movement in the era of COVID.
