Noah Steinsapir is the General Counsel of Kretek International, Inc., wherein he leads Kretek’s legal department and oversees all of the company’s legal affairs. Mr. Steinsapir’s broad focuses include regulatory work, licensing, distribution and manufacturing, intellectual property, litigation and a variety of other areas of law. Perhaps most important to the industry, over the past four years, Mr. Steinsapir has worked closely with Kretek’s Executive Team, its inside and outside counsel and its Compliance Department to ensure Kretek operates within the confines of the various and complicated federal, state and local laws which regulate tobacco. Mr. Steinsapir has had firsthand experience and regularly interfaces with numerous federal, state and local government bodies/entities, including the FDA, NAAG, BOE and other relevant authorities. Prior to joining Kretek, Mr. Steinsapir worked at several of the country’s most prestigious international law firms, including Mayer Brown, Venable and McDermott Will & Emery. Mr. Steinsapir has practiced law in California for over ten years and has worked with and represented Kretek at each of his prior law firms prior to joining the company. Mr. Steinsapir earned his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where he graduated in the top five percent of his class and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He is fluent in English and Spanish and in his off time enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter.
