Bander Allaf received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from King Abdulaziz University and received his M.Sc. from Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria. He is Senior Business Development Manager in ACWA Power. Prior to ACWA Power, he was working with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for 14 years in Power System Planning, Operation & Control. He is the Founder and Chairman of IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) in Middle East and North of Africa and Committee Member of EU-GCC Clean Energy Network. He is Senior Member of IEEE, Member of CIGRE and Saudi Scientific Society for Electrical Engineers (SSSEE). Bander has received IEEE Outstanding Engineer Award from PES in 2009 and he also received GCC CIGRE award for the best applied research in 2006 & 2009. He published many papers in the area of Power Engineering and he is Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) by Saudi Council of Engineers.
