A member of BKD National Health Care Group with more than 27 years of public accounting experience, Kevin serves as the Oklahoma practice unit’s Accounting and Auditing Director. In this role, he is responsible for the engagement quality reviews of audit, attestation, review and compilation engagements as well as providing technical support on accounting and auditing issues. He also provides audit and advisory services to health care entities, governmental entities, not-for-profit organizations and commercial enterprises. Kevin serves on BKD’s internal inspection teams. Until January 1, 2019, Kevin also served as the firm’s South Region Healthcare Industry Leader. In that role, Kevin coordinated services to BKD’s health care clients throughout a four-state region. Kevin was a member of BKD’s firmwide Health Care Committee, which is responsible for the industry team’s strategic direction and development of industry news and guidance. Kevin is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Oklahoma Society of CPAs and is a licensed CPA in Oklahoma, Texas and California. He recently served as member of a GASB task force. Kevin also is a certified member and Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) and has served on its National Advisory Council. He is a former president of the Oklahoma Chapter of HFMA. He is treasurer of Oklahoma Aquarium Foundation. Kevin serves as board member and finance committee member for Tulsa Area United Way and has served two years as a campaign cabinet member for the annual citywide campaign. Kevin is a recipient of the HFMA National Frederick T. Muncie Gold Award, the HFMA National Founders Medal of Honor Award and a Tulsa Business & Legal News Men of Distinction Award. He is a graduate of Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri, with B.A. degrees in accounting and economics.
