Steven Cernak is the Chief Executive/Port Director for Broward County’sPort Everglades, which is consistently ranked among the world’s top three cruise ports. He joined Port Everglades in 2012, after serving as Port Director and CEO for the Port of Galveston, and as manager of Port Development for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. A firm believer in sustainability and community, Mr. Cernak is Chairman of the Florida Ocean Alliance, Vice Chairman of the Florida Ports Council, a Board Member for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, and a Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board Member. In addition to its cruise business, Port Everglades is also Florida’s top container port and South Florida’s main seaport for receiving petroleum products.
