Giora Israel, a 35-year travel industry veteran, joined Carnival Corporation in 1992 as director of special projects and was appointed vice president strategic planning seven years later. Currently he serves as the Senior Vice President for Port and Destination Development, and as such heads Carnival Corporation’s global ports and destination development arm that is involved in port development and operation throughout Europe, North America, Central America and the Caribbean, a key element in Carnival’s continuing growth and expansion. In addition, he remains involved in key strategic initiatives for the corporation in various developmental and operational areas.
