Tampa Bay Clean Cities


Austin Marie Sipiora, co-coordinator of the Tampa Bay Clean Cities Coalition, joined the coalition team in 2015 as an intern through the Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program. As co-coordinator, she manages communications, outreach, and marketing activities, plans events, works with stakeholders on petroleum reduction projects, and provides backup to the coalition coordinator. Sipiora received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida (USF) and earned her master’s degree in Global Sustainability from the USF Patel College of Global Sustainability. She has conducted research in the fields of water resource policy, environmental education, and sustainable transportation. While interning in local and international organizations, Sipiora conducted policy and legal research and integrated sustainability education into outreach programs. She has a passion for communicating the values and applicability of sustainability and environmental awareness. In addition to her work with the coalition, Sipiora provides support to a research team at the USF Center for Urban Transportation Research, concentrating in the areas of alternative fuels and advanced propulsion.
