JOHN CHALIFOUX

MERA – The Association for Sustainable Manufacturing


John Chalifoux has served as president and chief operating officer of the Motor & Equipment Remanufacturers Association and a member of its board of directors since MERA’s inception in January 2011. He came to MERA from the Original Equipment Suppliers Association, where he served as vice president of marketing and business development. (MERA and OESA are divisions of MEMA, the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association.) Prior to OESA in 2006, Chalifoux worked in the automobile retail business and served as a strategy consultant and a marketing & sales executive in the automotive supplier community. He began his career with Goldman Sachs in New York. Chalifoux earned a BA in economics and a BE in mechanical engineering from Stony Brook University, and an MBA from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. He is also a graduate of the NADA Dealer Academy.
