Tim Raven




Tim Raven's research interests include the mechanisms of spinal pain and the effects of manual therapies on pain syndromes. In particular, Tim is involved in research utilizing intramuscular fine-wire EMG to assess the firing characteristics of the deep spinal muscles, in people with and without pain, and examining the effect of spinal manipulation on these firing patterns. The techniques used in this research allow our team to follow single motoneurons over time, both before and after a manipulative procedure.
