Brian J. Panish is a founding partner of Panish | Shea | Boyle | Ravipudi LLP and a 2023 inductee of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles' Hall of Fame. Recognized among the leading trial attorneys in the country, Brian's victories include more than 600 verdicts and settlements over $1 million, more than 100 verdicts and settlements in excess of $10 million, six verdicts in excess of $50 million, and a verdict of $4.9 billion in the high-profile products liability case Anderson v. General Motors. He is consistently appointed to serve in a leadership role in some of the largest personal injury cases in California and the country including as Plaintiffs' Lead Trial Counsel in the Southern California Gas Leak Cases where he led a team of attorneys in obtaining a $1.8 billion settlement with Sempra Energy. Brian also serves a Plaintiffs' Co-Lead Counsel in the Southern California Fire cases and previously served as leadership in the Asiana Airlines Crash Litigation, the Olympus Superbug CRE Litigation, and DePuy ASR Hip Implant Litigation. Named Trial Lawyer of the Year by Consumer Attorneys of California (2014), the America Board of Trial Advocates (2010), and Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (1999), Brian is also a three-time recipient of the prestigious California Lawyer Attorney of the Year Award. He's also recognized among the 2023 Leading Commercial Litigators by Daily Journal, the 2023 Leading Lawyers in America by Lawdragon, and among the LA500 by Los Angeles Business Journal. Brian is immediate past president of the prestigious Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only group comprised of 100 of the best plaintiff lawyers in the nation. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and previously served as President of the ABOTA Los Angeles chapter.
