Dr. Peggar graduated from Iowa State University with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. The focus of his graduate research was the design and development of precast concrete wind turbine towers for hub heights at or above 120 meters. He is currently an associate at Wiss Janney Elstner Associates, Inc. and involved in peer review of new designs for wind turbine tower foundations as well as the retrofit of existing foundations for repowering. He has also participated in planning safe demolition sequences for damaged wind turbine towers.
