Mirko Bader started in 2000 at ThyssenKrupp Stahl as an engineer for quality assurance for flat-rolled products. In 2001, he became a project engineer for customer-related R&D projects in automotive applications (description and the approximation of material behaviour under fatigue, misuse cases and crashes). In 2002, he received a PhD. (Dr.-Ing.) for his thesis on material behavior of gradient layer under rolling contact fatigue. In 2006, he became a project engineer at E.ON Engineering. There he had scientific responsibility for most of the material R&D project for the 700°C-Power Plant “50plus” and for important RCA’s for failures in steam generators, piping and electric generators. Since 2011, he has been responsible for material research and technology at E.ON Anlagenservice GmbH, Germany.
