Guy R. Gruppie is a Senior Partner of Murchison & Cumming, LLP, which he joined as a summer associate in 1990. He is a senior member of the Firm’s General Liability and Product Liability practice groups and specializes in the defense of complex and high-stakes litigation. As one of California’s “go to” defense trial lawyers, Mr. Gruppie has developed a diverse portfolio of clients which include large, small, international and national businesses, entertainment, sports and media companies, celebrities, professional athletes and other high-net worth individuals. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates along with a number of other premier bench/bar organizations including the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, where he served as chair of the Trial Tactics Committee. He is a mediator with the Los Angeles Superior Court, and was an adjunct professor of California Civil Procedure at Southwestern University Law School. Mr. Gruppie graduated from Loyola Law School, where he earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Trial Advocacy. He is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell and before law school, worked as a reporter and editor at the Los Angeles Times.
