David M. deRubertis, the principal of The deRubertis Law Firm, APC, handles employment, catastrophic injury and contingency business litigation cases statewide, including serving as last minute trial counsel. In 2014, Mr. deRubertis was the recipient of CAALA’s “Trial Lawyer of the Year” award. He has also been honored as a California Lawyer “Lawyer of the Year - Employment Law” (“CLAY”) award, Best Lawyers’ “Lawyer of the Year - Employment Law - Individuals” (Los Angeles) (2014 and 2018), CELA’s Joe Posner Award (youngest ever recipient), and has twice been a Finalist for CAOC’s “Street Fighter of the Year” award (2014 and 2015). A member of ABOTA, deRubertis has also been recognized as a Top 100 Southern California SuperLawyer (2011-2018), a Top 100 Trial Lawyer (NTLA, 2008-present), and is the only plaintiff-side attorney in California recognized by the Daily Journal as a Top Labor & Employment Lawyer every year since inception of the list (2009-2018). Mr. deRubertis serves on the Boards of CAALA and CELA, and was a Founding Director and currently a Board Member Emeritus of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC).
