Umiika is a Procurement & Contracts Supervisor for Alameda County in Oakland, CA. Umiika supervises a team of Contract Specialist and purchasing assistants who manage competitive bid processes for contracts ranging from $100K to multi - millions of dollars. Umiika is the current Vice Chair for the San Francisco Bay Area CAPPO chapter. She has been an active CAPPO member for 7 years, and a member of the Disaster Preparedness Bay Area Group a subset of the CAPPO SF Bay Area Chapter which aims to align disaster preparedness amongst 43 neighboring agencies. Umiika is a San Francisco Bay Area native, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, and makes it a priority to keep abreast of community needs through various Alum networks. She has 8 years of experience in Government Procurement and over eighteen years of experience in Key Account Management and Purchasing in the private sector. In her free time Umiika enjoys being surrounded by family, jogging, cooking. Umiika is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two sons ages 19 & 23 and 2 dogs.
