Mr. Reza Alaghehband is an employee of Austin Energy (AE). He has been involved in all operational aspects of transmission & distribution and generation during his over 22 years of tenure at AE. He had been responsible for specification, evaluation, selection, procurement, project management, implementation, and deployments of three (3) SCADA/EMS projects during his tenure at AE. In addition, he had been intimately involved with Zonal and Nodal ERCOT Market systems designs and deployments and interfaces with all 10 AE Renewables consisting of Wind, Bio-Mass, and Solar resources. Prior to joining AE, he worked for two SCADA/EMS vendors developing AGC, Security Network Applications, and systems. He is also a licensed professional Engineer in the state of Texas, a senior member of IEEE, and active board member and organizer of the impartial annual Energy Management and Market Operations Systems (EMMOS) formerly EMS Users Conference and Training. Reza has a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems track from University of Washington, Seattle and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
