Paiute Palace Casino

Mrs. Sherry Denny-Kriescher is an enrolled tribal member of Turtle Clan of the Oneida Nation of WI, who started in the Tribal casino industry in 1989 as a ticket cashier with Oneida Bingo and Casino. Over the next twenty five plus years, Mrs. Kriescher would be one of the many who led the way, being proactive by participating to develop the NIGA Tribal-Wide MICS for five years, handing the NIGC Chair this MICS one year before NIGC came out with theirs. Mrs. Kriescher also developed Oneida’s first system of internal control manual, SOP’s and the gaming internal audit department from inception. With the vast amount of training and experience Mrs. Kriescher received from her tribe, she decided to travel across the United States helping other tribes with training in BSA, Audit, Accounting and regulations just to name a few. In addition, Mrs. Kriescher has developed several more SICM, assisted in opening, renovating and reopening of tribal casinos, conducting investigations, and/or mentoring. Mrs. Kriescher is a true believer in empowering employees through communication, knowledge and experience. Mrs. Kriescher is currently the GM at the Paiute Palace casino in Bishop CA. Here, Mrs. Kriescher is conducting a tribal casino management training program that will prepare tribal members for the position of GM. Mrs. Kriescher is hoping to get this program accredited at the local college as an associate degree. Mrs. Kriescher has earned both her Bachelors and Master’s degree from UIU in Accounting and has started working on her Phd. Sherry has accomplished all this while raising six children.
