As an underwriter working for GCube Insurance Services Inc., Michael specialises in underwriting offshore wind projects across the world in addition to other renewable energy projects. Michael joined the company in 2013 in London and has since moved to GCube’s New York office in order to be able to offer a domestic insurance solution to offshore wind developers who are beginning to establish themselves in the US. Michael has previously worked at Aon as an insurance broker where he was responsible for account management and procurement of insurance on behalf of independent power producers and utilities across the globe for renewable energy projects For over 20 years, GCube have been the leading provider of renewable energy insurance services offering comprehensive property and liability insurance coverage for utility scale projects around the globe, including being one of the first insurers to underwrite offshore wind projects. Currently GCube is involved in more than 50 projects globally totalling over 13 GWs during development, construction and operation and is able to offer up to USD 700m in capacity per project.
