Sandy Decker RN BSN is the Vice President of Home Health Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina (AHHC) and South Carolina Home Care and Hospice Association (SCHCHA). She was Senior Provider Education Consultant at CGS, a Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) prior to coming to her current position. Sandy has educated in the home health and hospice fields for many years. Most of her nursing career has been in the home health and hospice fields. Sandy also has degrees in Marketing and Business Management. Sandy has educated providers and national leaders on Medicare home health and hospice clinical regulations, Patient-Drive Groupings Model (PDGM) and Review Choice Demonstration (RCD). Sandy has been a Medical Reviewer with both Medical Review and Appeals at CGS before her educator position there. She has presented at both national and state conferences for both hospice and home health for many years. Prior to CGS, Sandy was a Clinical Supervisor, an RN case manager, and served in many capacities at hospice & home health agencies in Iowa. She has also served as Adjunct Professor in Community Nursing at the collegiate level.
