Mark Spindler is President and CEO of CIM Software Corporation, a consulting and engineering firm in Minneapolis, MN that provides controls and automation services to the Agricultural, Energy, food, and industrial industries. Mark is a 1986 Electrical Engineering graduate of Iowa State University and brings more than 30 years of experience in controls and automation. He has held various roles in business development, engineering management, technology leadership, overall business management, and business startup. Throughout much of his career, Mark has been instrumental in leveraging emerging technologies to bring about solutions that have a meaningful impact for the customers he serves. Recent technologies include energy management, improved hazard monitoring, grain conditioning, wireless technologies and cloud computing based automation systems. Mark is a member of the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) and the International Society of Automation. He is a frequent speaker at society events such as GEAPS, IAOM, ARC, and ISA on topics such as Enterprise Control Systems, Remote Monitoring, Industrial Automation Standards, Hazard Monitoring, and Grain Automation.
