In his current position of Director of Special Projects for Perdue Agribusiness, Mike is responsible for research, development, and management of innovative capital projects in the division in such diverse areas as bulk material handling and storage, material processing, transportation, and renewable energy. His involvement with GEAPS started in 1978 by attending the Exchange in St. Louis and he has since made presentations for his local Mid Atlantic Chapter, the Mini conference in Angola, IN, and the Exchange. Mike has been with Perdue AgriBusiness for 38 years and has held numerous management positions within the company and managed numerous large capital projects. He has been involved in aeration design and troubleshooting since 1987. He is a native of Maryland’s Eastern Shore being the 4th generation to live on the family farm in Quantico, MD. He received a BS in poultry science from the University of Maryland in College Park. Mike’s hobbies include land and forestry management and land preservation and include serving on the Board of Directors of the Lower Shore Land Trust located in Snow Hill, MD for 10 years.
