Sarah Benjes focuses her legal practice on employment litigation, counseling, and compliance at the international law firm of Faegre Baker Daniels. She represents clients in employment disputes involving alleged violations of federal and state employment statutes and other employment law claims. She has experience representing employers in federal and state courts, and at federal and state administrative agencies. In addition to litigation, Sarah advises employers on a variety of workplace issues, including employee hiring, discipline and discharge matters; accommodating qualified employees with disabilities; and complying with wage and hour and leave laws. She assists clients in drafting employment contracts, non-compete agreements, employee policies, employee handbooks and separation agreements, and conducts internal investigations and trainings for employers. Sarah worked for six years in human resources in the ski industry prior to law school ending up as a senior human resources and international staffing manager for Vail Resorts. She received her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of law and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University. Sarah serves on the board of trustees for Bravo! Vail, the advisory board of the Denver Law Review, and the Schools Committee for Rocky Mountain Harvard University Club. In her spare time Sarah likes to telemark ski, mountain bike, and play with her five-year-old son.
