Melanie is Executive Director of the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL), a nonprofit, nonpartisan center dedicated to the prevention of terrorism through education, empowerment and engagement. Through its acclaimed exhibit, distinguished speaker series, and award-winning public safety training program, the CELL provides a comprehensive look at threat of terrorism and how individuals can play a role in enhancing public safety. Under Pearlman’s leadership, the CELL developed the Community Awareness Program® (CAP®), which trains citizens how to recognize and report suspicious activity in order to prevent terrorism and criminal acts.
