Tim Folks, Senior Director of Content Services for Advance Auto Parts, joined CARQUEST in June 2006 as an enterprise architect and transitioned into IT management, where he was responsible for the company's architecture, middleware, and catalog systems. Beginning in February 2010, he oversaw both the business and IT aspects of the catalog and successfully led its final implementation. In September 2012, he left IT and was responsible for the CARQUEST catalog and retail e-commerce until CARQUEST was acquired by Advance Auto Parts. Today, he is responsible for the strategy, development, and operation of the catalog for Advance Auto Parts. He has served on the Auto Care Association’s Technology Standards Committee since 2011 and has been its Vice-Chairman since 2014.
