Rick Liposchak is a Senior Project Engineer with POWER Engineers Inc. with over 29 years’ experience in electric utility Automation, SCADA and Communications. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Idaho. Prior to working with POWER Engineers, Mr. Liposchak was the VP of Engineering at CG Automation. Mr. Liposchak has also held various positions with General Electric working in Protection & Control System delivery; VP of Engineering with Stellar Dynamics and held various positions with Idaho Power Company in Communications, Power Control and Digital Automation. He is a registered professional engineer, a senior member in the IEEE, a member on several CIGRE study committees, and served as Chair for IEEE P2030.100 Working Group, “Recommended Practice for Implementing an IEC 61850 Based Substation Communications, Protection, Monitoring and Control System”.
