Vincent R. Miller Jr., CSP, is President of Miller Safety Consultants, Ltd, Manassas, Virginia. As the owner of Miller Safety Consultants, Ltd, he provides services to clients in North American and Canada in areas of electrical safety training and specialty equipment for employee protection. Prior to his retirement as a consultant for the Washington DC Chapter of NECA, he provided member companies of the association with technical assistance regarding developing and maintaining Environment, Health, and Safety programs and regulatory compliance within the geographic area surrounding Washington DC. Mr. Miller has been providing electrical safety training, using NFPA 70E, National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and the OSHA standards (Construction, General Industry and Maritime) since 2000 for the NECA chapter and as the owner of Miller Safety Consultants. He has provided training to Maryland OSHA and Virginia OSHA compliance and consultation officers and is active in the national NECA safety committee in developing safe work procedures. He also, as a consultant, assisted in the development of numerous electrical safety programs for major business in the mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Miller is the official trainer on electrical safety for a major electrical engineering firm providing training to companies such as BAE Systems, Northup Grumman and others. Mr. Miller has been an OSHA authorized instructor in General Industry and Construction and maintains his Certified Safety Professional title with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
