Steve Russell is the DMS Program Director for Duke Energy. During his 30 year career with Duke Energy, Steve has worked in a wide variety of leadership roles; including engineering, field operations and construction, finance, forecasting, scheduling, outage management and dispatching operations, metering, and corporate compliance and ethics. Steve also served as assistant to two of Duke Power’s presidents where he managed the office of the president and worked on a wide variety of special projects both internal and external to Duke Energy. Steve’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Elon University. Steve is a registered Professional Engineer. In his current role as DMS Program Director, Steve is responsible for the development, enhancement, deployment, and integration of Distribution Management Systems and Distribution SCADA systems across Duke Energy.
